Large cap refers to a company with a market capitalization value of more than $10 billion. Large cap is a shortened version of the term “large market capitalization”.

These companies are usually among the largest in their sector,well-established and tend to do very well across market cycles.

These companies may be part of Large Cap Index like Nifty50.

These are the well-known companies you hear about in the news. There are large cap companies worth more than the economic output of many small countries.

You can invest in individual large cap companies by buying their stocks. That requires you to research each firm to decide which picks are good.
